Field Day T-Shirt Contest

Field Day T-Shirt Contest

It's time to design NEW field day t-shirts.  Interested 5th and 6th grade students picked up design packets at school.
Click the link below to view the Power Point for this unit.

T-shirt designs are due to Mrs. Wine in room 162 on Wednesday, April 19 (the day we return from spring break)!!  Remember, designs must be black and white only. Also, do not forget to write your name and class in pencil on the back of your design.

The top 4 designs will be submitted to the PTA for consideration.  The winning design will be printed on this year's field day t-shirts and distributed to everyone in the school.  Everyone who submits a design will earn extra credit.

2016-2017 School Year is Here!!

Welcome back to Mrs. Wine's art blog!!!  Students began the year in the main building by setting a goal for art class this year.  Students wrote their goals on a hand they made in art class.  Then students took the hands home to create unique designs.  6th grade students wrote their goals on a star because this year, they are the starts of the art program!!  Look for your young artist's hand the next time you are in the main building!!!

ALL PAGES HAVE BEEN UPDATED WITH CURRENT PROJECTS!!!  Click the tab at the top of this page for your grade to find out what we are doing in art class.  Look for ways that students can engage in extra practice at home and earn extra credit!!

Who is Andy Warhol?

I selected Andy Warhol as my Halloween costume for the parade at P.S. 150.  Check it out in this photo with my son, aka Casey Jones from TMNT.
So, just who is Andy Warhol?  I challenge you to find out for yourself.  Work with your parent to search for some information on Andy Warhol.  Write a short paragraph telling me what you learned and I will give you extra credit toward your art grade.  Submit your paragraph on loose leaf during art class or submit it via email to ewine@schools.nyc.gov.  Don't forget to include your name and class number on your work.
