Who is Andy Warhol?

I selected Andy Warhol as my Halloween costume for the parade at P.S. 150.  Check it out in this photo with my son, aka Casey Jones from TMNT.
So, just who is Andy Warhol?  I challenge you to find out for yourself.  Work with your parent to search for some information on Andy Warhol.  Write a short paragraph telling me what you learned and I will give you extra credit toward your art grade.  Submit your paragraph on loose leaf during art class or submit it via email to ewine@schools.nyc.gov.  Don't forget to include your name and class number on your work.

Have a GRREAT Summer!!!!!

I hope all the students and staff have a terrific summer!!!  Remember students, you may communicate with me anytime by email at ewine@schools.nyc.gov.  If you are looking for some interesting art ideas for the summer remember that it is always a good idea to practice drawing form observation.  Go to Google images and type in what you want to draw (cars, horses, dogs, cityscapes, etc.).  You will literally have millions of options to choose from.  I also recommend Pinterest for finding great art and crafts ideas.

New Grading Period

The third marking period of the school year has begun.  Seventh grade classes have switched.  Homerooms that had music first semester have now moved to art class.  All new classes have met and received information to share with their parents.

Parent letters need to be signed and returned no later than Friday, January 17.  Each student is expected to have a pocket folder with ten sheets of loose leaf and a pencil for every class session.  A participation grade on being prepared with these supplies will be taken during the second class session this week.
